I have a teenage daughter ahhhhhhhh

It has finally happened.  Maggie turned 13 on March 8th.  We were saddened by this occurrence, so we held a funeral to mourn the loss of her childhood.

We sent out an obituary to invite her friends to mourn with us.  Eight of her friends joined us for the solemn occasion.

I was able to eulogize her and many of her friends shared memories of their time with her.  When the proceedings were over we began the celebration of the teen years!!!!!

Our first game was "Over the Shoulder Boulder Thrower".  We had some large bras that we used as sling shots to fling some balls at a target.  Unfortunately, nobody hit the target.
Our next game was "Pop the Pimple".  Each girl was blindfolded and had to "pop" a pimple by jabbing a stick pin attached to a straw at the poster of Maggie covered in water and air filled pimples.  Fun, Fun!!

The next game was "leg shaver" where they each had a rocket balloon that they covered in shaving cream and had to shave with a disposable razor without popping it.  Only a couple were popped and only after having shaved the entire thing.

"Make-up Maggie" was our next game.  The girls were each given some dollar store makeup and had to apply it to Maggie blindfolded.  She seemed to be having fun until she looked in the mirror and found that she had lipstick in her hair and up her nose.

This was a very fun party for me to plan.  I only have one daughter so I wanted to go all out and embarrass her while giving her a party full of memories.  Her least favorite was the bra game but I think she secretly loved it.  We also played a game called the "hormone" game.  We used the chutes and ladders game board and the girls had to roll the dice to move around the board.  They had to tell everyone the "good" and the "bad" things that happened to them to make their "hormones" go whacky.  The girls threw out all sorts of things.  They finished the night by playing Ghost in the Graveyard and Body, Body.  One girl texted Maggie right after she left and told her we need to do it again soon.  I think that is success!!!!

looks like a lot of fun! Great Post. The scary news with our 14 year old is that she turns 15 next month and gets her drivers permit before the end of the year! We miss you guys.
