End of 2010 Happenings

The months have passed by so quickly and blogging has gone by the wayside.  I have so much respect for those of you who can do it regularly.  The following is a rundown of some of the fun of months gone by:

To begin...Gavin started high school in 2010.  He was a part of the marching band.  We loved watching them.

My in-laws, Dwain & Helen Thatcher celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in November.  They had a big party in October, which turned out so nice.  All of their children that live in Las Vegas took them on a trip to St. George where we rented a house and had a great weekend together.  Dwain and Helen were sealed in the St. George Temple so we made sure we got to go do Sealings while we were there.

Our little family took a trip to Zion for Veterans Day weekend.  It was so beautiful with the changing of the leaves.  The kids really enjoyed it.

For Christmas we were able to go to Junction, Utah and stay at the Courthouse Inn.  It is their old Courthouse that has been converted into a reunion rental.  We had almost the entire Thatcher clan with us (29 altogether).  We missed having Rachel and her husband Paul as well as Dallin who was on his mission.

We all got wear red hoodies that said Thatcher Family 2010.

One of the funnest things we did was go out and chop down our own Christmas Tree.  We didn't have any snow in Junction but not to far away up on a mountainside we found snow and our Christmas Tree.  Everyone that went out there got to take a chop or two at the tree.

It was fun to have Bryan together with his siblings.  I also enjoyed time with my Sister-in-laws:

The Grandkids had the best time together though!!!!

Here they are after their Christmas Story play in front of our Christmas Tree.

Grandma (Helen) has made each one of us a stocking over the years and we got to have them all displayed together.  We put them up according to age.

On Christmas Day we took our kids along with Whitney's family up to a snowy mountain top to play in the snow.  They had so much fun and were so cold.

This was truly a great Christmas time for our family!!!!
